Access to Javea is good being midway between Alicante and Valencia (90 and 105 ins respectively). Junctions 62 and 63 of the AP7 motorway both connect to Javea. The more leisurely N332 coastal route affords superb views of the Mediterranean, the Penon d'Ifach in Calpe and goes through several delightful towns, although you can get caught up in a traffic jam in the summer months.
Javea is situate on the most Easterly point of the Spanish Mediterranean coastline and is often called Amanecer de Espana as it sees the sunrise first. On a clear day you may see the Balearic island of Ibiza. According to the World Health Organisation it has one of the healthiest climates in the world. Summers can be hot with temperatures around 30 degrees. Winters can be cold with temperatures as low as 4 degrees, but normally they range between 12 and 20 degrees.
